FAQs

Family shoots: We recommend wearing clothing which you are comfortable in. Complimentary clothing colours between family members is advised but please don’t all turn up in the same outfit - it can look a bit strange.
Try to avoid having individuals wearing clothes with large logos and those which are heavily patterned as these can distract from the image itself.
We will be shooting against either a white, grey, black or coffee coloured backdrop.
At the end of the day it is your shoot, and, whilst this is purely advice, it is your choice on what you wish wear in your photos.
Individual shoots: Your shoot is all about you and your personality so please wear clothes you like and feel comfortable in.
Try to avoid clothes with large logos as these can distract from the image itself.
Unlike group shoots, the focus is on you and therefore bright colours and patterns are fine to wear. We have plenty of backdrop options in the studio and can find one which will work well for you and your outfit choices.
We have put a guide below on colours and backdrop options.
Corporate headshots: We recommend wearing what you would wear to work in your job and this may be formal or more casual. We tend to have you seated on a stool for this shoot.
Whilst called a ‘corporate headshot’ we can take longer 3/4 length photos if required.

When you arrive we will take some time to get to know each other and to talk through the shoot itself. There is a private changing room if you need to change clothes when you arrive.
Once ready, you will either stand or sit in front of the backdrop. A few photos will be taken to test the lighting, and once ready you will be guided on how to pose by the photographer to keep the images looking natural.
The photographer will keep talking to you throughout the shoot and help support you to achieve some beautiful images. You can ask any questions you may have throughout the shoot.
You will be able to view some of the images during the shoot on a tablet or laptop so that you can see what the photographer sees. We will also try to ensure there is time at the end of the shoot to also have a look.

As with any new environment, we will allow your dog a bit of time to have a look around and become a bit more familiar with the space.
We tend to put dog on a blanket on either the floor or a raised box in front of a backdrop. We have a large selection of backdrops from plain colours to textured papers/fabrics. We will discuss how each affects the overall image and pick one or two to work with.
Once ready we will take some photos to test lighting and then, once happy, will start the shoot.
We do recommend bringing a favourite toy or some treats to help encourage your dog to stay in place and to look towards the camera.
